I escaped North Korea at 21 and rebuilt my life by learning to navigate new languages and cultures.

I am also the independent author of The Courage to Die, published in English. With no formal English education, I created my own learning methods—strategies that helped me overcome fear, find my voice, and eventually speak on global stages, including TEDx.

One of my most meaningful teaching experiences was training the well-known polyglot YouTuber Xiaomanyc to speak North Korean dialect in just 50 days—enough for him to hold a conversation in a restaurant. This showed me something powerful: with the right method, anyone can speak Korean much faster than they expect.

Today, I teach Korean through the same principles that transformed my own life: speaking-first training, strategic learning habits, and clear, practical feedback.

If you want a tutor who knows exactly how to take you from zero to speaking—book your lesson today.
